German Language Online Courses Reimbursement for Doctoral Students

+++ The below information has been provided by the Doctoral Convention and refers specifically to the winter semester 2025-26. It has not been determined yet whether there will be a similar offer in the future. ++++

Please note:

• You are eligible for a partial reimbursement of your course fee if you fulfill all of the following requirements:
  1. You are enrolled at Heidelberg University as a doctoral student through the end of the course.
  2. You complete your course obtaining a certificate of regular attendance ("regelmäßige Teilnahme"), i.e. you have missed no more than 6 classes. This information will be sent to the Doctoral Convention by the German language course coordinator’s office.
  3. You cannot receive, have not received, and will not receive other external funding for your course fee.

  4. You submit all required information and documents via the online form by March 15 2026. Please click here:

• Late submissions are not eligible for reimbursement under any circumstances and cannot be processed!
• You should not e-mail any documents / information regarding reimbursement of the German Language Course to the Doctoral Convention.
• Only if you have not received your reimbursement by May 1, 2026, you may contact the Doctoral Convention:

• The reimbursement is expected to cover up to € 180.00 per person.
